Why The Singing Kettle??????

There was a time when I thought that of changing the name of our tearoom because, to some people, it sounded a little old fashioned but then I thought of the part that the humble kettle has played in my life and I changed my mind.
My first memories were of my Mother brewing coffee on the stove top. My first flat had a stove kettle and I have many, many fond memories connected to the sound of a whistling kettle. A whistling kettle speaks to me of comfort, refreshment and relaxation. It speaks of a moment to be enjoyed with friends or a moment of peace and quiet for yourself.
That is exactly the feeling I want for EVERYONE who crosses the door of our little tearoom in Alyth.

WELCOME TO THE SINGING KETTLE @ ALYTH

Welcome to the new Singing Kettle Tea Room Blog. We will be publishing regular postings about our activities and also items of interest about this lovely part of Perthshire.
In these postings we will paint, as vividly as we can, a portrait of the beauty and history of this area
that we love so much.
You are cordially invited to visit the site regularly and  leave any constructive comments or even ideas for articles you would like to read.

The Singing Kettle Tea Room is situated near the centre of this charming little country town. It nestles at the foot of the hills which, with their changing colours, reflect the passing of the Seasons.
Alyth is an underrated gem which amply rewards exploration, within the town itself and the surrounding country.

The Singing Kettle welcomes you for light meals, quality teas and coffees and home baking.
We look forward to seeing you soon
.
